2014 European Athletics Championships Zurich 2014
The European Athletics Championships is an international athletics event organised by the European Athletics Association. First held in 1934 in Turin, the Championships have taken place every four years, with a few exceptions. Since 2010, they have been organised every two years, and when they coincide with the Summer Olympics, the marathon and race walking events are not contested.
This year hosted by the city of Zurich.
European Athletics Championships Zurich 2014 provided a crucial impetus to athletics in Switzerland – in the long run. All parties involved – Swiss Athletics, Weltklasse Zürich, Athletissima Lausanne, and public authorities – teamed up to make sure that the impact of the mega event was a sustainable one.
The pleasure of leading this production again was ours!
Not only did we mount pieces of our production at the Letzigrund Stadium, which is considered as one of the world’s home arenas of athletics and stands for more than 80 years of wold-class athletics, but also we took care of branding of competition routes in the city itself.
The City Festival that took place August 9th -17th 2014 was integral part of the European Athletics Championships Zurich 2014. Various onsite activities was part of that place with the motto “Experience Athletics”.
Our work was easily seen on the key elements of the City Festival, such as: Official House of Switzerland, Athletics experience & sponsor pavilions, Zurich Opera House Projections and many more…
